Gift Mini Book Made for My Granddaughter’s High School Graduation

Earlier this month my oldest granddaughter graduated from high school in Virginia. Instead of putting her gift check into a card, I decided to make a small mini photo book with tags and place the check in the bellyband of the final tag. Purple is her favorite color, so of course the book had to be purple.

The pages of the book are made from a single piece of 12 X 12 paper. The instructions for making the mini books are by Tracys Treasures 24, find part 1 here and part 2 here.

I scanned some of the pictures I had of her. When I printed them I thought they would be larger, but it worked out just fine. I started with her new born picture and ended with her senior class picture. Included is a picture with her father, a picture with her great grandmother, mother and myself. Pictures taken when she was a toddler growing up in England and then again when her family returned to the USA(Air Force family). A cute one dressed in cap and gown when she graduated from kindergarten is also included.

Cardstock and printed paper used are DCWV. I inked all the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I used ATG, Tombow and Glue Dots for adhesive. Corners of the tags were rounded used the We R Memory Keepers Chomper. Embellishments used are K & Company, Recollections and Tim Holtz. Many of the quotes used were from DCWV.
