Birthday Card for My Daughter-in-law

This 6 X 6 card was made using a sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps for a challenge. The card must contain a metallic element, circle and ribbon. I used metallic paper as the shadow for the sentiment. The Birthday Girl sentiment and the scalloped rings are from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. The card is embossed using the Cuttlebug Oriental Weave embossing folder on the front and using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Created For You With Love on the back.

The outside corners of the front and back of the card were rounded.

DCWV Latte Metallic paper was used for the shadowing of the letters. The sentiment is attached to the card with pop ups to give a 3D effect.

The scalloped rings are partially glued down enabling the ribbon to be weaved through the rings.

Close up of the bow and button with thread, as well as some of the embossing.

Inside view of the card showing how a slit was put into the fold of the card to accommodate the ribbon.

Card and view of the envelope made using the Martha Stewart Scoreboard.

Birthday Card for My Second Daughter

My second daughter's favorite color is red. She has had quite a year turning lemons into lemonade. After losing her job in this economy she moved across country and started her own Concierge business. Just a month ago she became a grandmother of the most beautiful girl. Her birthday is today. She will be celebrating by seeing her new granddaughter for the first time.

The 6.25 X 5.25 card was designed using the Gypsy and cut on the Cricut Expression

Happy Birthday(Storybook cartridge) letters were welded together, two sets cut from glitter paper and glued one on top of the other. The scalloped circle( Lovely Floral cartridge) with ribbon thread through it was an idea I saw on another blog, but I don't remember who it was thank you very much for the great idea. The corners also come from the Storybook cartridge.

The scalloped ring is attached to the card using pop ups

The quote inside the card is from DCWV

The A7 envelope was made using the Martha Stewart Scoreboard.

Angelica's 1st Birthday Card

My baby granddaughter Angelica is going to be celebrating her first bithday on January 4th. With the Provocraft Gypsy and Expression I was able to design a cake shaped card for her.

Front
Front and Back

Card and Envelope

Using the Gypsy and the Celebration cartridge I was able to make a cake shaped card by welding the #1 shadow to each cake shadow then welding the flipped cake shadow back to the cake shadow front. Deep Pink (DCWV) cardstock was used.

The cake was cut in a pastel Pink (DCWV). For the layered white frosting White (DCWV) was used and the edges inked with Rangers Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

The cake parts were embossed using the Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug folders Polka Dots (pink) and Divine Swirl (white). The #1 is embellished with Ranger Stickles Cotton Candy.

Storybook cartridge was used for the Birthday Girl sentiment.

The A7 envelope was made using the Martha Stewart Scoreboard and  K & Company paper.

Anniversary Card

This is a trifold card I made for my son and his wife for their 4th anniversary. For their wedding the maid of honor wore gold and the bridesmaids wore red. The card was designed using the Gypsy hand-held machine.

Trifold card was cut  using the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. The number 4 and the letters were cut using the Cricut Storybook cartridge. And the pointed square was cut using the Cricut Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. The pointed square was embossed using the Cuttlebug machine with Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder. Number 4 and the letters were embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The Autumn Leaves fabric flower was embellished with Rangers Icicles Stickles.

Martha Stewart Floral Vine border punch was used to decorate K & Company cardstock. Rangers Distress Fired Brick ink was used to ink the edges of the pointed squares and for the Fiskars stamped sentiment.
