CC3 Challenge #3 Faux Tea Roses

Our third challenge is to do another one of the techniques in Tim Holtz  A Compendium of Curosities Vol. III on page 65 Faux Tea Roses. The challenges are lead by Linda Ledbetter on her blog. And this challenge is sponsored once again by Inspiration Emporium.



I utilized a tag I started to make for challenge #2. Ranger #8  Kraft tag, Tim Holtz Rays stencil, Goldens Molding Paste, Tim Holtz Honeycomb die, Spiced Marmalade Distress Stain, Spiced Marmalade Distress Glitter, Ranger Glossy Accents, Distress Vintage Photo Ink

Butterflies are from Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs Elements.


The eye is a Tim Holtz Remnant Rub Elements. The bow is made with Tim Holtz Crinkled Ribbon colored with the following Distress Stains: Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Shabby Shutters

Distress Glitter CC3 Challenge 2

Our second challenge is to do another one of the techniques in Tim Holtz  A Compendium of Curosities Vol. III on page 56 Distress Glitter. The challenges are lead by Linda Ledbetter on her blog . The second challenge was sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I am not a big fan of using glitter, but it was fun using this glitter. It was also my first time to use molding paste and gesso.

I used #8 Kraft and Black Ranger tags. Using the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Rays Stencil and Goldens Molding Paste on the Kraft tag  and  Ranger Claudine Hellmuth Gesso on the black tag.

 

Using the Sizzix BigShot I cut the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Trellis die. I used Rangers Tim Holtz festive berries Distress Marker and Distress Glitter.
The flowers are cut from Ashland Spring Bushes and the leaves are Recollection. They were adhered with hot glue.
Other adhesives used on the tag were Rangers Glossy Accents and Scotch Quick Dry.
